Description

An eye-catching old building in Berlin Mitte has been restored and modernized from the ground up. It is the only remaining wing of the former, famous Hertzog department store, which survived the Allied bombing in World War II. The former Hertzog department store, founded in 1839, was the largest department store ensemble in Berlin. In this construction project, engineers from Ruß Ingenieure AG had the very demanding task of supervising the tenant fit-out in the specialist areas of technical building services and ensuring a high level of quality. Special requirements for monument protection had to be taken into consideration.
