Description

The school is located on the site of a former polytechnic secondary school and occupies two of the three rows of the ensemble of prefabricated buildings there. House A has already been refurbished in the past, while House B has remained largely in an unrefurbished condition to GDR standards. The educational concept and the growing number of pupils make it necessary to restructure and refurbish the existing buildings. The most important planning objectives here are opening up the school to the city and linking the buildings spatially, adapting the space to a contemporary learning concept, economic efficiency and sustainability.
